Grand opening of the Family Support Center!

Mission Statement

Our mission is to help families in any way that we can, free of charge. Whether their needs are food, clothing, baby needs, hygiene items, or other resources, we will do our utmost to help.

We strive to treat everyone with dignity, respect, and love while keeping confidentiality as our top priority.

We will serve anyone, regardless of race, creed, need, or social standing.

Services Offered

At the Logan County Family Support Center, we offer the following benefits to families:

In order to receive benefits, proof of residence and birth are required.

Clothing Pantry

At our clothing pantry, families can receive up to 10 clothing items per person in the household every week, free of charge.

Hygiene Pantry

From the hygiene pantry, once a week, a family can come by and collect toothpaste, feminine hygiene products, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc.

Each person will be allotted a specific amount of hygiene items.

The limits on hygiene items are the same as on food.

Food Pantry

Our food pantry stocks shelf-stable goods such as canned food, frozen meats, as well as perishable items such as fresh produce. Our selection is constantly evolving, so come by and see what we have.

Weekly, a family can receive anywhere from 1 to 4 bags of food, depending on the size of their household.

Certain foods are only available to TEFAP receipients.

Baby Pantry

The baby pantry of the LCFSC has anything that a family could need for a newborn or young child.

We stock diapers, clothing, baby formula, toys, cleaning products, and more!

Household Items

On an opportunistic basis, we will have certain household items such as sheets, pillows, and decorations.

These will not be a staple of the FSC, but we do have some from time to time.

Check our Facebook page for details on current offerings!

...and more!
Come and see us if you need help with something that isn't listed. Our partner organizations may be able to help you!

In order to receive benefits, you must sign up with us. Proof of residence and birth are required.

All information is kept confidential.

Details

Hours & Location

Open Monday through Friday, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, then reopening from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Last clients for the day will be served at 4:45 PM.

Clothing Pantry

Our clothing pantry has been set up in a boutique format to maintain a relaxed atmosphere and to ensure respect for our clients.

We accept donations of both clothing and home goods as well. Please ensure that any donated items are free of major disrepair or stains.

Items we receive are washed and cleaned prior to being displayed.

Items from the clothing pantry are limited to 10 items per person weekly.

Baby Pantry

In our baby pantry, we have diapers, pacifiers, bibs, baby food (formula, rice), and baby hygiene (wipes, lotion). We keep a closet full of supplies.

Each item in the baby pantry has its own limitations. Please come see us and we will help you.

Hygiene Pantry

In our hygiene pantry, we have anything you would need to lead a healthy lifestyle. Toothbrushes, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, soap, shampoo, conditioner, razors, combs, hairbrushes, dish-washing powder, etc.

Hygiene items are limited based on the amount of people in the household. For example, a family can receive one bottle of shampoo and conditioner per person in the household. All hygiene items must be collected at one time, not on separate days.

Food Pantry

In our food pantry, we carry several types of shelf stable foods such as canned vegetables and meals, in addition to foods such as pastas and fresh produce. We also carry refrigerated and frozen foods. Our selection of items is always evolving, so stop by and see what we have on offer!

Food items are distributed to families based on the size of the household, weekly:

  • 1-3 people: 1 bag of food

  • 4-6 people: 2 bags of food

  • 7-9 people: 3 bags of food

  • 10-12+ people: 4 bags of food

Certain items are allowed to be held outside of the bag limit and are distributed on a per item basis. For example, a box of cereal, since it would not fit in a bag.

The majority of food items are available exclusively to TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) clients. However, if you do not qualify for TEFAP, we will still help you. We carry a selection of food items for those clients who do not qualify.

If you are unsure if you qualify for TEFAP, come see us, and read the TEFAP Fact Sheet webpage for more info.
